Hindutva

	The problem with the Hindus living in India is that they are afraid to say that they are Hindus. Even the word Hindu is ‘communal and bad’ for them. When we wanted to name our organistaion Yuv Hind – meaning Young India, the most stiff resistance came from our Hindu friends. They said Yuv Hind had a Hindu bias. I asked them then what about Jai Hind, what about Saare Jahan se Achcha Hindu-stan Haamara’. Hindutva is the soul of India. Every inch of the soil here has the fragrance of Hindutva, from Himalaya to Ganga, from Gandhiji’s Ram Rajya to Ram-sethu, from Kashmir (Kashyapa-mir) to Kanya Kumari devi. It is not only about Hindu religion, Hindutva is a philosophy that covers all and everyone, Muslim, Christianity, Hindu, Communist, Atheist…the entire humanity.
